The Secret of Success
So far we’ve covered 2 of the traits that I’ve defined as the top 5 list of successful character traits, Concentration and Self-Confidence. Next week we will continue with number 3 but there are so many character traits that contribute to our success, that I wanted to briefly touch on a some others as well.
Today’s trait can be defined as:

Poise gives us power and purpose.
Poise gives us self-control and targets our mental energy.
When we are physically poised we are in control of our body. There is no nervous energy escaping through our flexing fingers or tapping feet. When we are mentally poised we feel calm and at peace. We go about our duties with a focus that comes from having carefully weighed our options and we move forward with confidence.
When we encounter stress or are faced with an uncomfortable situation, poise enables us to present ourselves confidently and accomplish what we’ve set out to do.
Such is the power of poise, such is the secret of success.
