“We are so often caught up in our destination that we forget to
appreciate the journey, especially the goodness of the people
we meet on the way.”

~unknown

This week is Member Appreciation Week at HitSafari.

In recognition of the thousands of fantastic individuals who
consistently surf and support HitSafari every day, we will be
awarding daily prizes!

Just to say thank you to our new members for choosing HitSafari,
prizes will be awarded daily to random new members as well.

As the above quote states, it is sometimes to easy to get caught
up in the day to day busi-ness of running a business that we
don’t say often enough how much we appreciate those people that
make our business journey possible.

I hope each of you know how much I appreciate you. Without your
individual and combined effort there would be no HitSafari.

Thank-you!

Here are some of the prizes up for grabs this week!

Each Day 5 random members who surfed 50 pages the day before
will receive 100 credits.

Each Day 5 members who surfed 100 pages the day before will
receive 200 credits

Each Day 5 members who surfed 250 pages the day before will
receive 300 credits

Each Day 5 members who surfed 500 pagesthe day before will
receive 500 credits

Each Day 3 new members who have activate their accounts will
receive 300 credits.

There are more surprises to come.. including credits to another
popular Traffic Exchange. I don’t want to send email everyday..
there may be one or two more this week, so to keep you updated
on the previous days winners and what’s happening.. the first
page surfed will contain all the info.. so be sure to take a
look at it before you start your surfing sessions.

The following is just for fun but the majority of it hit home
with me. How many can you identify with? :)

12 Step Program of Recovery for Web Addicts

1. I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my PAPER newspaper like I used to, before the Web.

2. I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing.

3. I will get dressed before noon.

4. I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner before even thinking of the Web.

5. I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and family that are Web-deprived.

6. I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Web.

7. I will read a book… if I still remember how.

8. I will listen to those around me and their needs and stop telling them to turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Web.

9. I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email.

10. I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, if it is necessary or not.

11. I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my checkbook because I was too busy on the Web.

12. Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime… and the Web will always be there tomorrow!

    Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your 50-minimum has spurred me to the library for two hours a day so that I not only cover HitSafari but all the others that I prefer for my TE advertising! (My iMac is a little slow, so…. Besides, it gives me an excuse to use these vestigial legs.)
    Now there’s even more *incentive*!!!!!!!!!
(and yes, this really is shouting:)
MAY YOU AGAIN RISE TO #1 AND ****STAY**** THERE!

Thank you so much for the 12 Steps to Recovery for Web Addicts

Its good to know that there is someone else out there with the same problem. I relate to most points you mention, and just recently I had some issues which took me away from the monitor for a great part of the day.

I can report that I have survived! There IS life off the web! To all those who feel they need a surgeon to disconnect them, I say, take hope. YOU CAN DO IT!

    Thank you!

    Hi Paula,
I think i might be in desperate need of HELP after reading your 12 step programme to recovery. What do you think?
    1. I do make my self a cup of coffee and sometimes i read the news paper
    2. I dont have breakfast.
    3. I go to bed clothed so i can get a very early start.
    4. I very quickly clean the house and promise to do it better next time’
    5. I never writer letters.
    6. I do call people but having a hands free phone i am able to still be on the net.
    7. I dont remember how to read a book.
    8. I do listen to people around me but whether i react is another thing.
    9. I dont watch television very much.
    10. I only go out once a week and that is to do my shopping.
    11. I very rarely go to the bank.
    12. It is a good night sleep if i get 4 or 5 hours.
I am dreading the end of september as i am shifting house and my internet provider has told me it will take approx 3 days to re connect me back on the net. O well time will tell.
    Ok take care
    Kate.

  4. September 17th, 2007 | 6:50 pm

Jennifer.. I’m so glad you survived! It gives
me courage to try it myself.. baby steps..

Kate, you are not alone :) Wearing your clothes
to bed to get an early start is an excellent idea!
Why didn’t I think of that! lol

But 3 days without an Internet connection? Is that
even possible.. I’m a little worried about you. :)

  5. September 17th, 2007 | 6:56 pm

WOW I’m not the only one… I guess I’m not too far out there. I did get some fire wood cut today!!!

    Thanks
    Chester

and let me tell you this is one pro member customer that is feeling VERY appreciated! Customer appreciation week also helps to explain why my banner impressions are flying off the shelf. I need to surf 200 times a day just to keep 3 banners stocked with impressions! Needless to say….I’m ‘impressed’.

Keep up the fantastic service. You are greatly appreciated

    Aloha Paula,

I really enjoy reading your newsletters and your traffic exchange.

Web addict lol, but I am definitely not wanting to be in recovery just yet.

  8. September 18th, 2007 | 11:09 am

I enjoyed reading the newsletter and like being in your traffic exchange. Hope that all goes well in your neck of the woods.

  9. September 18th, 2007 | 3:12 pm

Thank you so much for the addict reminder. While on my journey I have stooped to smell the beautiful flowers along the way and I ran into you. Your reminder is my beacon telling me I am doing it right and I will be there soon. A poignant thought at this moment is never get behind and if you do take it slow and use the rest stops properly.

Have beautiful ventures people, life does not end here it only begins.

  10. September 19th, 2007 | 7:42 am

Thank you for your great guide. I should show it to my family - they think it is just me obsessed. BTW - what is housework? My house has forgotten. Are you sure that the commercials are not for checking e-mails?
    Keep up the good work.

  11. September 19th, 2007 | 9:12 am

Thank you for the tips. I don’t drink coffee, I drink juice LOL. I am going to put this list on my desk to remind me of all the other things I need to do. Hit Safari is one of my most favourite T.E.’s. Than you again.
