A warm welcome to the many new members that have joined us in the jungle here at HitSafari.

There are just a couple things I need to clear up tonight.

In no particular order..

When you enter a url now you are able to check it yourself immediately. It seems like many of you are still used to having to wait for admin to check and verify your urls.

Old habits are definitly hard to break, but remembering to check and verify your own URL will get it into circulation immediately as long as you assign credits to it.

Please note that when you have 100% of your credits assigned that the credits you receive during your surf session will be immediately assigned to your URLs. They will NOT accumulate.

You may have noticed the new stat table on the front page that shows number of members, pages surfed, members online etc.

I’ve been questioned about the low number of members that HitSafari has.. there’s an easy answer for that.

Our member number reflects an accurate number of active members. We are consistently pruning the member list of inactive members, members whose email bounces back a certain number of times and the great number of those that are, shall we say, less ethical in their surfing habits.

Sure we could give you a number that would show how many people have joined HitSafari since we opened in 2003 and it would be significantly higher, but my belief is, that is misleading.. just my opinion and the way I’ve chosen to do it.

That being said, don’t be afraid that your account will be deleted if you don’t log in this week. The accounts we delete have been inactive for a long time.. many have never surfed at all, and also do not have downlines.

Now some fun stuff…

From now through the end of the year HitSafari will be donating 20% of income brought in through credit purchases.

Some of you will remember that we did this with First Book before and 10% will be going to them this time as well.

First Book provides brand new books to Children in need this holiday season and throughout the year.

Any donation that we send before December 31, 2008 will be matched by Random House Childrens Books. Every $25 donation that would normally by 10 new books will now be matched by 10 More Books!

Really cool, right?

10% will also go to Pajama Program. The Pajama Program provides new, warm pajamas and books to children in need in the United States and around the world. Many of these children ar waiting and hoping to be adopted.. many have been abandoned, deprived of any love at all.

There are thousands of children on the list that need pajamas. The ‘Danger Season’ starts October 1st which is when the coldest time of the year begins.

The Pajama Program does just accept cash donations but my plan is to purchase the pajamas locally, as I have a connection where I can take advantage of sales. This way I can take pictures of what I’m sending and post them. I think that will be more fun and help to personalize what it is that you as members are accomplishing.
