Season’s Greetings!
Time is running out if you haven’t got your Christmas shopping done! I’m
done 
but now I need to wrap.. my most unfavorite part.
But I’m determined not to wait until an hour before presents are ripped
open to get it done.. but then I said that last year too, come to think
about it, I say that every year.
But this year is going to be different!
However you celebrate the holidays, Doug and I both wish you a Merry
Christmas!! Be safe as you spend time with family and friends, have lots of
fun and be sure to give some time to reflect upon the reason for the
season.

There’s a special day coming up for HitSafari.. You know what it is! It’s
our BIRTHDAY!!
December 29th is the official date that we will be 4 years old… and since
the 31st is my birthday, (and no, Ray, not 29 again.. I’m finding that
harder to do since my oldest son is 31 so now it’s 39 and holding), we’re
having a big birthday bash!
There will be special surfing prizes next week including some great gift
certificates to be won. AND we’re having a contest!
The poor HitSafari monkey has gone without a name all these years.. I think
it’s time that changed!
So.. get into a jungle mood.. grab a banana and help me come up with a name
for our monkey.
Entries should be submitted to contest@hitsafari.com and will be accepted
through Friday of next week. The winner will be announced on Wednesday Jan
2, 2008!!
All entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges who will
consider such things as originality and theme appropriateness.. OR, I’ll
just pick my favorite and go with that.
The winner will have their choice of a great gift including an HS Pro
Upgrade, credits and/or gift cards!

A couple of quick notes..
HitSafari DOES allow audio on sites in rotation so there is no need to
report them as bad sites.
If you have auto-assign set to ON, your credits are being used probably as
fast as you’re earning them while surfing.. the credits earned while
surfing will NOT be reflected in your credit total as they are being
automatically assigned to your urls.
If you would like for your credits to accumulate you can turn auto-assign
to OFF.
Beginning next year, 2008, the newsletter will only be sent to those of you that have signed up for it from the main members page. Be sure you check for the validation emails and verify that you have subscribed.

I’m glad you allow audio cause there is something big coming shortly after the new year.
I like it when the full word is used instead of xmas. It does show the reason for the season.

I like to surf without the annoying audio. I find it distracting and after hearing the same speech over and over again it gets borning.
When the big audio comes next year, I’ll miss it. My speakers will be turned off.

I’ll be sending you in a couple of name ideas for your monkey, one of them I’m thinking of though is Indiana Jones, but I think that’s already taken by some movie or something… 
With regards to Audio, I have to agree with Rick, it is kind of annoying to me, but I too allow those who want to use it. There are a number of plug-ins available for firefox that will keep the audio at bay, perhaps something to consider for those that don’t like it.

I like having my itune on then when someone start talking it mess up the whole thing. I posted a message in the firefox forum to see if they can add a mute to the firefox brower.
maybe other reader will do the same
Hi Paula, thanks for doing such a great job. Congratulations HS for turning 3 lately. It´s still one of my Top 3 favourite TE´s.
With regards to Audio, I really don´t like automated audio sites. So I turned of flash and speakers. I think everyone should have a choice, so automated audio is a definitive no go for me! So I will miss the big audio as well..lol…
