How many of us can say that patience is one of our strengths? I’m guessing that the number is quite low. Not that it can’t be done, just that it can require great effort.
I know I personally identify with the little boy who prayed..” Dear God please give me patience and give it to me NOW!” We all want what we think will make us ___________ (fill in your own word) right away.. now! And many times, if it doesn’t happen NOW, we’ll move on to the next thing that will make us __________ (fill in your own word) because it will surely happen faster… didn’t the sales page promise that after all?
I believe patience is a kissing cousin of our old friend focus. You can’t give all your attention to one thing without being patient and patience dictates that you focus on one thing.
Patience should not be confused with sitting back and waiting for something to happen. Patience requires that we continually try new things, tweak the old things and maintain those things that are working for us. There should always be a forward motion.

The by products of patience are necessary for our personal growth. The lessons learned while a person re-evaluates and adjusts his plans for success are priceless and can only be learned in the school of patience. Plus the rewards of patience are much sweeter. Good things really do come to those that wait.

mburden - 100 credits
Every week each member who has surfed at least 50 times on 5 separate days of the week, Monday - Sunday, is entered into a drawing. 5 members are chosen randomly and are awarded credits.
Prizes are either credits in the amounts of:
500, 400, 300, 200, or 100.
If there are over 200 surfers who qualify, prizes are inceased by 50%. If there are over 300 who qualify, prizes will be doubled!
