It’s not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?
~ Henry David Thoreau

We talked about Focus last week.. it is such an important aspect of Internet Marketing that it could, and probaby should, be talked about every week.

How many times, at the end of the day, do we sit back and wonder just what it was that we accomplished that day. We know we were busy.. we didn’t take any time away except for a quick lunch and the rest was spent doing our job, sitting at the computer actively pursuing our goals.

Could it be that we lost our focus, if even just for a day? Did we allow ourselves to be distracted by a lot of little things and therefore not accomplish any of the major things we needed to do.

There is a popular illustration which, like so many word pictures, can make a point much better then I can.

It’s an illustration about rocks and a jar. It goes something like this..

A teacher, wanting to illustrate time management to her students brought out a wide mouth jar and, after sitting it on the table, placed several nice size rocks into it.

When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit she asked, “Is this jar full?” Everyone said, “Yes.” To which she replied, “Are you sure?”

She then reached under the table, pulled out a container of gravel, dumped some in the jar and shook it. Pieces of gravel worked themselves down into the space between the big rocks.

Then she asked the group, “Is this jar full?” Beginning to catch on, they answered, “Probably not”.

“Good answer,” she said while reaching under the table. She brought out a bucket of sand and started dumping the sand in the jar.

The sand settled down into into all the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel.

Again she asked…. “Is this jar full?” “No,” the students answered. Grabbing a pitcher of water, she began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim.

What can we learn from the rocks and jar?

If you don’t put the big rocks in first, you’ll never get them in at all.

What are the big rocks in your day.. ?

In a forum this week there was a question posted about HitSafari.. In part, it read,

“Hit Safari has been number 1 for every single week….For months now.

So I have to ask, am I missing something? I buy credits there quite often, about 3 times a week roughly, and get good results. But is it ‘that good’?”

So what do you think.. Is HitSafari that good?

I would love to say YES.. OF COURSE! but I want to know what you think.

If you think yes, then why?
If you think no, then why not?

Remember that Hoopla bases their results on traffic delivery only. Have you seen a consistent flow of traffic to your sites over the last few months? Is there anything I could do to improve traffic delivery?

If you track, and if you don’t… WHY NOT!, are you showing the same uniqueness level that hoopla shows.. (it’s listed in the stats section of the HS news)

This is not meant to be a ‘compliment fest’.. not my purpose at all. The question has been raised, and I want to know what, if anything, can be done to make sure that HitSafari lives up to the number 1 ranking it recieves.
